## Assignments

### Follow the chapter
Read Ephesians 6 in full. In verses 10–20, list the actions, the people being addressed, and the requests for prayer. What does the wider chapter help you notice about the appeal to stand firm?

### Examine temptation and response
Read Brooks’s opening discussion and first device on printed pages 10–13. Find the use of Ephesians 6:11. Follow 2 Corinthians 2:5–11 in its chapter. Which response does he recommend, and how does he support it? Older wording may need explaining in your own words.

Library reading boundary: Printed pages 10–13 (PDF pages 10–13) reviewed: opening exposition, supporting texts, the first device, and the beginning of its remedies. Prefaces, later devices, and editorial footnotes were not used for passage connections.

### Examine a proposed spiritual history
Read the host ministry’s recap of Pagani’s interview. List the connections it proposes between Ephesians 6 and Genesis 6. Which connections can you show in each passage, and which require another source or assumption? This is the ministry’s recap; the full recording has not been checked here.

Library reading boundary: Public host-ministry interview recap read. Full recording not reviewed; supernatural claims are the speakers’ interpretations.

### Examine an appeal to boldness
Read the bounded transcript exchange at 00:40:20–00:44:04. Note Decker’s appeal to Ephesians 6, then compare verses 19–20 in context. Does an appeal to courage establish that a particular public method is wise? The transcript is machine-generated and has not been checked against audio.
Ed Decker: Mormon Stories 1332–1335 — Decker’s appeal to Ephesians 6
https://www.mormonstories.org/ed-decker/
Library reading boundary: Bounded exchange about dramatic methods and boldness read: segment timestamps 00:40:20–00:44:04. The publisher labels its transcript machine-generated and lightly edited; audio was not reviewed. Decker names chapter 6, so the connection remains chapter-level.
