## Assignments

### Follow the chapter
Read Genesis 6 in full. Mark who speaks, what is said about human conduct, and what Noah is told to do. Bring three observations with verse numbers. Which questions does the chapter leave unanswered?

### Examine Wayne’s opening argument
Read the public Heroes of Old excerpt. Write down his main claim and the step he takes from the English word “hero” to a claim about the ancient figures. What original-language evidence would you need to test that step? The excerpt is not the whole chapter.

Library reading boundary: Complete publicly displayed opening excerpt read; the rest of the chapter and book were not reviewed.

### Follow Heiser’s comparison
Read official transcript pages 3–6. Follow the proposed connections through Jude 4–8 and 2 Peter 2:4–6 in their chapters. Which wording is in those passages, and which part is Heiser’s reconstruction? These pages are a limited window into his argument.
Michael S. Heiser: Naked Bible 434: The Epistle of Jude, Part 3 — angels and false teachers

Library reading boundary: Official transcript pages 3–6 reviewed, including Heiser’s exposition and quotations attributed to J. Daryl Charles and Richard Bauckham. The audio and remaining transcript pages were not reviewed. The summary reports Heiser’s interpretation.

### Test a modern claim
Begin with Doak’s introduction and opening giant-video examples, within the reading boundary below. Choose one claim about a discovery. What evidence is offered, and what would that evidence actually establish? If access fails, bring the missing source as a question rather than guessing its argument.

Library reading boundary: Publisher article introduction and the opening “Watching Giants on YouTube” discussion reviewed, through the early professional-media examples and their biblical comparisons. Later analysis and conclusions were not reviewed. Claims about giant discoveries are discussed critically, not endorsed.
